New Delhi: SpiceMix, founded by finance professional turned social entrepreneur Gaurav Thakar, is redefining the way Indian spices reach global kitchens. By directly connecting tribal farmers with consumers worldwide, the brand ensures fair trade, sustainability, and authentic flavors in every product.

Born From a Crisis

During India’s first COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, tribal farmers in Gujarat and Maharashtra lost access to daily markets, putting their livelihoods at risk.

“These communities have preserved India’s agricultural traditions for generations, yet they were invisible to modern commerce,” says Gaurav. Together with his wife, Priti Thakar, he launched SpiceMix, a digital bridge that empowers farmers and brings premium Indian spices to kitchens across the globe.
